K21 Pin Pad Terminal
The Unisys K21 PIN Pad is a secure, compact
terminal for capturing data at the point of presentment and service
in a retail environment. The K21 PIN Pad includes a magnetic card
reader, mini smart card (ID-000) readers, smart card terminal,
graphics or text display and a numeric pad.
Applications for the K21 PIN Pad include customer identification, security access
control, customer inquiries, customer select PIN and stored value
card reloading.

The
K21 PIN Pad is supplied
with a standard set of
Application Program Interface (API) software which allows
the customers application software to
easily communicate with the
PIN Pad and facilitates application development.
The K21 PIN Pad features both physical and logical
security, ensuring that the terminal is suitable for PIN based
functions. The security features include three way privacy
shrouding, secure key scan, blind rivets in the specially designed
plastic casing, tamper switches and software security algorithms
such as DES and RSA.
