The Ki71 EFT integrates a merchant terminal and
customer PIN Pad in a compact unit that is simple to use for both
the customer and merchant. It allows customers to swipe their own
magnetic card or insert their smart card so that the card does not
leave their possession.
The terminal features up to four mini smart card
modules (ID-000), providing simultaneous support for multiple smart
card schemes including VISA Cash and Mondex.
Merchants no longer need multiple terminals to
offer the different electronic payment options to their customers.
This offers a significant advantage over other terminals available
on the market today.
The Ki71 EFT terminal features both the physical
and logical security that are necessary for PIN based transactions.
The security features include three way privacy shrouding, blind
rivets in the specially selected plastic casing, tamper switches,
and software security algorithms such as DES and RSA.
With its integrated magnetic card reader, smart
card terminal and up to four ID-000 mini smart card modules, the
Ki71 EFT provides very high functionality in an exceptionally small
footprint.
